Book Clubs at the JBPL

Knitters' Book Club  will meet Tuesday, November 25th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm. The next selection is The Headmaster's Wife by Thomas Christopher Greene. Non-knitters welcome, too!

Mystery Book Club usually meets the 4th Thursday of the month. Next meeting will be on a special night - December 4th,  6:45 - 7:45 pm.
Next selection: Tatiana by Martin Cruz Smith. New members always welcome.

Ex Libris Book Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 11am in the Adult Program Room. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, November 11th. The selection is The Daughters of Mars by Thomas Keneally. This month's meeting will meet at a different location, since the library is closed for the Veterans Day holiday. Wednesday Readers Book Club
meets the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 2pm. This month the club will be discussing Olive Kittredge by Elizabeth Strout. This month's meeting - November 19th.

Holiday Closing for Thanksgiving Holiday

The library will be closing at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, November 26th, and all day Thursday, November 27th, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Regular hours 9:00am to 5:30pm will resume on Friday, November 28th, and Saturday, November 29th.

A Caring Christmas Wonderland at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library
Community members and organizations are invited to decorate tabletop-sized Christmas trees which will be silent-auctioned to benefit the charity of its creators' choosing.

Trees should be delivered to the library
November 12th - November 15th
during normal library hours.

Holiday Fun at the Library - Christmas Tree Lighting
Friday, December 5th, 5:30pm

Join us for the Annual Tree Lighting with carols and music by the Bourne High School chorus and band members. Gather round the library front oval by 6pm to start the season with lights and songs.

Inside, the library will be open to the public as the Bourne-Wareham Art Association holds an opening reception for their month long art display on the Mezzanine.

Join us for a book signing and talk by the authors of The Long Haul: the Future of New England Fisheries. The book is compiled by Sean Corcoran, Jenny Junker and staff of WCAI Radio Station in Woods Hole and is based on the award-winning series produced by WCAI in December 2013. Copies of the book signed by the authors will be available for purchase at the event.

Teen Tuesdays - 2:30 - 5:00 pm

Bourne Middle School students, grade 5 and older, are invited to join us at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library each Tuesday afternoon. Activities include WII games, art and more, homework help and just hanging out with your friends.
